Well it’s that time of year again – report writing time! Yes, this can be quite a busy and overwhelming time for teachers. We are all looking forward to that feeling of having ‘finished’ our student reports – the drafts have all been checked and re-checked and checked again, the reports are printed and signed, then re-checked… - aaahhh to have finished our reports is a great moment! Everyone wants to be remembered. No-one wants to be forgotten.
How will you be remembered as a teacher? 10, 15 or 20 years from now, when a student thinks of your name, what memory will spring to mind?
I can remember many teachers from school and I’m sure you can too. And not all of my memories are positive.

I’m often asked what really helps a teacher to be successful. What is it that makes a teacher excel and succeed in teaching? Of course there are many answers to this question, and I cannot possibly write an exhaustive list. Nevertheless, over the next few weeks I will attempt to share with you what I think contributes to a teacher being successful. For me, success is NOT a destination, it is a daily thing.
